If you've had a Tap That AZ Hazy IPA then you've had a beer canned on the Cano Canner. In fact, nowadays places such as Simple Machine, Front Pourch, and Button Brewhouse are all on the Cano train. When you see this portable little powerhouse of a canner in action you can tell someone with some insane mechanical skills built it. In this episode I hang out with the man behind Cano, Andrew Grady. Enjoy the show!

When the opening of The Sleepy Whale was announced it came with immediate hype. With the groundwork laid by the massive success of sister beer bar, The Wandering Tortoise, the Chandler spot hit the ground running and hasn't missed a beat since. With a selection that is 2nd to none its a must-hit for beer enthusiasts. In this episode I sit down with co-owner Tony Fatica and the always amazing beer slinger Tiffany Fowler to talk about their story and enjoy some great beers. Enjoy!

The Grand Avenue neighborhood of Downtown Phoenix has a vibe all of its own. Built along the original road to LA this cool little section of Phx continues to make its mark with new small businesses moving into the unique buildings that fill the neighborhood. One of the newest additions to the Grand Venue family is The Wayward Taphouse. In this episode owners Hilda Cardenas and Ty Goolie tell us the story behind their spot and how it fits perfectly into the mix. Enjoy!

As we wrap it up we hear about the literal “circus” at the restaurant that put him over the edge, his reflections after leaving and finally one of my favorite parts, some advice for us as diners to help make the experience great. As he describes it, it is a dance and not a fight and when those come together between staff and guest, its magical.

"Nicholas Butler’s 'foodoir' is the first-hand account of changing from a career path as a college professor into waiting tables at one of Phoenix’s most respected restaurants. 'A Year In Waiting' connects to all readers by exploring the delights and prejudices of the restaurant industry, finding inspiration through carefully sourced ingredients, and offering discovery as a coping mechanism over disillusionment during the massive layoffs and unemployment of 2020."

In this new series "Behind The Pint" presented by The Arizona Beer Book we will hear the story of over 2 dozen iconic Arizona beers. These conversations were recorded in 2019 during the creation of The Arizona Beer Book for the purpose of research and were never intended to be released.

This one is bittersweet. Before closing its doors in 2020 Mother Bunch was one of our favorite spots. In this episode owner Julie and brewer Omar (now owner of La Pequena Brewing) tell the story behind their beloved McBrides Irish Red. Enjoy!
