In this episode I sit down with Mickey Salem from "Kings Beer & Wine". Mickey is the guy you want to buy beer from. A straightforward New Yorker with a wealth of knowledge on craft beer he'll tell you if something is good or not. He wants you to enjoy whatever it is you leave his store with. And trust me, you have a TON to choose from. Next time you're near downtown Phoenix stop into his place, grab a pint and see what all the hype is about. Enjoy the show!
This episode was recorded on location at the 2018 Real Wild & Woody Indoor Beer Festival at the Phoenix Convention Center. Lets just say that the conversations became more "interesting" as the festival progressed. However, it was a great time had by all and I am looking forward to covering this festival in the future. Enjoy the show!
In this episode my man Orlando Martinez from Hangar 24 Brewery takes over hosting duties to talk with Jason and JT from College Street Brewhouse out of Lake Havasu. Orlando had been telling me about these guys and the amazing stuff they were doing. So we decided to take a road trip and I was not disappointed. Super cool dudes and they make some fantastic beers. Keep an eye out for these guys. Enjoy the show!
You have never met anyone quite like the Arizona Wine Monk. The way he dresses, the way he talks, and just the way he presents himself. He is a truly unique individual and I am so glad that we have him here in Arizona to helps us all understand wine a little bit better.
In this episode co-host Chris Dodson and I sit with with the Arizona Wine Monk. In fact this whole episode was put together by Chris and he took the reigns of the interview. I pretty much sat back and Googled all the new words I was learning. The centerpiece of our conversation is the recently released Sangio Cerveza from Arizona Wilderness. Sangio Cerveza is a 51% beer 49% Wine hybrid with aged hops, fermented and matured in a french oak foeder on two tons of Sangiovese wine grapes from Dos Cabezas Wine Works. Its pretty awesome. We also learn a lot about Arizona wine, wine in general and the Monk himself. Enjoy the show!
In this episode co-host Chris Dodson and I sit down with Jamie Jarman, founder of Jarmans Craft Coffee. Jamie is known in the Arizona craft beer circle as a great guy who has great taste in beer. But coffee was his segway into beer and he is now turning his love for great coffee into a business. And let me tell you...he knows his stuff! I mean, a bourbon barrel aged coffee? Nuff said. Keep an eye out for his coffee and enjoy the show.
